Hawai’i FLL vision:
To excite and challenge students to pursue opportunities and careers in science and technology
Hawai’i FLL mission:
To develop and sponsor FLL events that bring teams together to share and learn while having fun
FIRST LEGO League began in Hawai’i with a local tournament for six teams on O’ahu in 2003. Today Hawai’i FLL, the FLL Operational Partner, services almost 200 FLL teams spread out over the eight islands in the State. During the month of November, the group coordinates district qualifier tournaments on all the major islands (Hawai’i Island, Kaua’i, Maui, and O’ahu). Many teams from the district qualifier tournaments advance to the state championship that is held in December in Honolulu on the island of O’ahu.
Hawai’i FIRST LEGO League is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization of volunteers who create opportunities for children to excel in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
